I live in the beautiful town of Ballarat, North West of Melbourne. Ballarat has a population of about 100,000 but retains the feeling of a country town. It takes me about 15 minutes to drive to work.
I live in a four bedroom house and some of my colleagues live out of town on larger lifestyle properties. Nothing is very far away, making shuttling my daughters between ballet and sports straightforward when compared to the UK. Needless to say, my family could not have had such a life in Watford where my daughters were born.
